SARIN Energy Announced 2015 Minority-Owned Business of the Year Award Winner

As a chief economist for the state of Kansas and an aerospace engineer, Inayat noticed a growing trend by companies to conduct energy studies and implement green initiatives and efficiency cost saving solutions, especially LED lighting. He established SARIN Energy Solutions in 2012 with an initial focus on improving efficiency for gas stations and quickly expanded to the hotel and hospitality market. The early success of SARIN helped it design and fabricate its own line of LED lights.

SARIN continues to expand its customer base and works with government clients, commercial facilities and warehouses to develop and implement energy efficient products. The company has grown from three initial employees to 18, and has a new office opening in New York. Future plans for growth include HVAC systems, solar powered batteries and residential energy efficiency.

SARIN supports the Salvation Army and Step Forward and is selling pink bulbs this October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. It has been awarded KCP&L’s Platinum Award Winner.

The full list for the past few years can be found on the Kansas Department of Commerce website.
